DOLCE & GABBANA PRESENT THEIR STYLE IN THE ORIENT
In an important step towards China, a country with vast commercial potential, Dolce & Gabbana held an haute couture fashion show in the foyer of Hong Kong’s historic ‘Peninsula’ hotel.
More than two hundred guests attended the event, and the unique outfits that appeared on the catwalk were particularly rich, sumptuous, and appropriate for the local atmosphere. A special collection of 105 refined items, a happening intended for a truly exclusive clientele of women and men who particularly appreciate D&G’s unmistakable style. The outfits inspired by oriental culture illustrate the Italian designers’ fairy-tale mood, combined with Gengis Khan influences and the style of the swinging twenties. Every item reveals great attention to detail, precise sizing and a passion for great tailoring, with silks and damasks in a triumph of brocade, precious pearls, provocative fringes, sparkling crystals and colourful peacock feathers.
